As mentioned recently, I unearthed two copies of mine and Adam Pobiak’s long sold out collaboration for Kyuss Lives in a forgotten roll tube. These sought after prints have now been put up in my online store for anyone who might have missed out on them the first time round.
"We’re certainly not magicians and the only reason we’re seen to be having any fun is because we’re seen when we’re away from that piece of blank paper that’s been staring back at us for six hours and really excited to be around actual people."
For the next two weeks I’ll be guest blogging for the Creative Nottingham website. In the process of trying to find something to talk about, I’ll be spending a lot of time discussing my creative process, environment and influence as well as answering questions and doing a full process of the printing of my new poster next week.
The introductory questionnaire went up on monday and can be found here: http://www.creativenottingham.com/guest-blogger/introducing-our-new-guest-blogger-michael-cowell-2/
And my first post, “Here’s to the myth of the Artist!” which went up yesterday can be seen here: http://www.creativenottingham.com/art-craft/heres-to-the-myth-of-the-artist/
Hope you enjoy it!
A few process pics of the original drawing I’m doing for the Japanese Fund raising Event postcard auction at Spanky Van Dykes in Nottingham this Saturday. I’ll be there from about 10pm with any luck.
In other news, the Kyuss Lives! show at Rock City is tonight so Adam Pobiak and myself will have our collaborative poster on sale from tomorrow.
